Meet Kate Lucas, founder/owner of BEEutiful Honey and Wellness. Her passion for wellness started 35 years ago when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus. That diagnosis molded her into becoming a pediatric nurse and then nurse practitioner specializing in endocrine and diabetes. She has a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles. Her passion project while working at a local children's hospital became developing a program specializing in nutritional education for patients and families with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Her father, a long-time accountant, became a passionate beekeeper a few years ago and now creates the most delicious, locally produced honey out of Marietta, Ga. So being a health conscience wife and mother of two, Kate dug a little deeper and began discovering the tremendous health benefits of raw honey including, dietary antioxidants, anti-inflammatory effects, and even wound healing effects. Two years later, BEEutiful Honey and Wellness came to life. Kate's mission is to continue to educate her family, friends, and community about wellness while offering jars of delicious wildflower honey. This is not ordinary honey, this is health, wellness, and a BEEutiful experience all in one jar and she is thrilled to share it with you.
